The 1927 New York Yankees


"The Colonel" Jacob Ruppert, Jr. described the baseball team he bought in 1914 as, "an orphan club, without a home of its own, without players of outstanding ability, without prestige.”


​Ruppert set about transforming the club into the greatest baseball team of all time - the 1927 NY Yankees - 110 – 44 Win / Loss Record, .307 season team batting average, won the World Series in 4 games.
