I'm grateful to Jane Austen for sparking these photo-essays. Jane Austen's was the first I did. The story of how beer-baron, Jacob Ruppert, transformed the New York Yankees was the second. Their stories provided me with a way to use my art history degree to bring history's great stories to life. At least that's the goal. I thoroughly enjoy creating these photo-essays and am always astounded at how much I learn in the process. I hope you - students, history lovers, life-long learners - enjoy them too.
