Greatly enjoyed the book. Would like to give copies to my investment banking associates as we embark on a new career opportunity.

Superb, read it in a day - could not put it down. Brought South to life - Shackleton's understated manner in South belied the enormity of the challenge - your book brought it (and his leadership) home.

I will go back to this time and time again in my career I'm sure.

I read your book with interest - congratulations on a fascinating publication.

I think your book is fabulous. I've recommended it to everyone I know -- including the management team at our sinking Internet consulting company.

… very enjoyable reading but darn if I'm not learning things along the way.

Years ago I liked to read inspiring books to get in a good mind-set to start the day. A brief visit with Shackleton does help me get started on a positive track. And I know soon I'll say to myself, "What would Shackleton do?" In this day of corporate madness and layoffs, I only hope more leaders are asking themselves the same question.

I was really impressed to know that there existed personalities like Sir Ernest Shackleton.

I'm one of the communications engineers for Amundsen-Scott station at South Pole working out of the Raytheon Polar Services HQ here in Englewood CO. We are the prime contractor to NSF's US Antarctic Program, having assumed that role last April.

My wife bought Shackleton's Way for a birthday present while I was at South Pole. I must say I was impressed. Shackleton is probably one the greatest models for leadership to have lived. His abilities and skills were captured clearly and concisely in the book, intertwined with one of the most fascinating stories of Antarctic exploration. I plan to post the "rules" on my wall and consult them often.

Here at the office, there is common agreement by all, many of whom have been to Antarctica frequently, that Shackleton is the best of all the explorers. His planning, attention to detail, personnel management skills, and leadership in time of crisis are virtually unsurpassed. As the saying goes around here: "He be the Man!" I would have to say he is the early explorer most admired by my office mates. As one of my coworkers said today in the hall, it is a tribute to his leadership and the faith that his men had in him that they waited for him to return with rescue, despite the trying conditions they had to endure. It is also a credit to Wild. He apparently learned "Shackleton's Way" to the point that this no doubt contributed to their survival.

I was very pleased with the book and the message it conveyed. One must ask how would our work environment change if we all could embrace at least some small portion of Shackleton's abilities. He truly is a model of leadership for the ages. Thank you for a well written and thought provoking book.

Thank you for writing the book. I finished it today and enjoyed every moment of my time reading it. Like yourselves, I study Shackleton and collect anything to do with him. I'm a leadership consultant as well as a trainer and use his story in lectures and training task design.

Well done again and best wishes.

Read your book and I wanted to say I think it is excellent. The only problem is now I am interested in Arctic and Antarctic explorers and am spending money on those subjects too.

Great Book.

I have just finished reading Shackleton's Way, highlighted several sections and intend to read it again. Additionally, I will make it an optional reading for a course I teach, Leadership and Organizational Behavior….

Thanks for your book. Great work!

Just a quick note to thank you for the interesting slant that you place on Shackleton in your recent book.

Reading through it there are a number of real gems that I hadn't picked up from my previous reading…

Your book on Shackleton's Way is one of the best reads I have come across in quite some time. Am always looking for good nonfiction, especially, true life adventures. This book truly is a treasure. Its lessons are applicable to personal as well as public life.
